Leesa Sarah Beales (aka mmmender) was born in Derry City, Northern Ireland. She now resides in Toronto, Canada where she works as a freelance multimedia artist and designer.

She started designing websites in 1996 after teaching herself some basic HTML skills. Her keen eye for layout and design came in handy as she taught herself how to master the art of Photoshop.

After studying Film Theory & Criticism at York University, Leesa continued to further her education at George Brown College. Once a self-taught Web Designer, Leesa eventually decided to study Web Design formally.
